Garrett Maho was born and raised on the Hopi reservation in Northern Arizona. He is a member of the Rabbitt and Tobacco Clans and has been making pottery since 1996. He was taught by his grandmother Marilyn Mahle and his aunt Gloria Mahle, both noted potters.
He is known for his traditional polychrome pottery pieces similar in style and design as the famed potter family, the Nampeyos.
