Purchases from the Heard Museum Online Shop are fully refundable/exchangeable for any reason for 10 days.
For shipped items that is 10 days from the day you receive the item to the day you post it back to us.

Purchase adequate insurance with your shipper in case of loss or damage in transit and fully protect the item with adequate packaging materials.
If an item is damaged in transit on its return to us, we cannot provide any refund. You will need to file a claim with your shipper.

If you need to return your item because it arrived damaged (for UPS shipments only):
Please contact the E-commerce shop immediately upon receiving the item(s) and noting the damage. If you can, please take photos of the item in its packaging before pulling it out completely. Please keep all the packaging material. We will contact UPS to arrange for them to pick the item up from you. You will need to re-package the item in its original packing material and box(es). Once UPS has delivered the item back to us, we will issue you a refund or repair the item at your request for no charge.

Proper Packing Guidelines:
When shipping any item, the general rule is the item should be secured so that it does not move or rattle inside the box or boxes. Padding between the item and the box walls should be around 2 inches on all sides. Shipping carriers can deny insurance claims on damaged items if they deem the item was negligently packaged. For our items, make sure any padding is put back around the work or new similar padding is used. Items that were sent double boxed should be returned double boxed. And remember, no item to be shipped should make any sound (rattle or shift inside the box) once it is properly packed!
