Angelina Holiday is a Diné (Navajo) basket weaver and the daughter of Elsie Holiday. She and her mother belong to the Holiday family of basket weavers who for generations have produced finely woven baskets and were key to the Navajo basketry revival beginning in the 1970’s.
Known for her intricate and colorful coiled baskets, she utilizes natural and traditional materials and dyes, such as yucca, bear grass, and Sumac. Her work often features motifs inspired by desert landscapes, ancestral stories, and ceremonial practices. Holiday’s work has been featured in galleries and museum collections throughout the Southwest, and she remains dedicated to sharing the techniques and values embedded in basketry.
