Glen Nipshank was born and raised on the Big Stone Cree reservation in Canada. He has been actively creating work since 1984 and specializes in contemporary works of art using traditional techniques and firings. His work is primarily hand-thrown, molding abstract and organic forms from the clay to produce beautifully rendered pottery works.
He draws much of his inspiration from his own heritage but has also found inspiration from other cultures such as puebloan and Hopi.
