VELVET SHIRT KACHINA BY ANTHONY BRIONES (HOPI)
Anthony Briones is a traditional katsina doll carver and was born on the First Mesa in Arizona. He learned how to carve in the traditional style from his cousin where he uses feathers, fur, fabric and cottonwood root in the construction of his dolls. His katsina dolls are available for purchase in the Heard Museum Shop who he also does katsina doll repairs and restoration work for. He currently resides in Phoenix, AZ.
Measurements: 20 1/4" tall x 7" wide x 8" deep
Katsina dolls are fragile by nature and may be broken in transit. We do our best to pack them efficiently and carefully, however due to their fragility, transit damage is unavoidable in some cases.
