Laura Gachupin (b. 1954) is the granddaughter of noted Jemez potter, Persingula Gachupin, who was her mentor. She is one of the leading traditional potters from Jemez pueblo and is primarily known for her ribbed melon pots and pottery figures with clean finishes. Gachupin has won numerous awards for her pottery at Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Indian Fair & Market, and Gallup Ceremonials.
