Wilmer Kaye was born in 1952 and is a member of the Badger/ Butterfly Clan. He was taught to carve by his uncle Willard Loloma and he has been actively carving since 1965. He is the nephew of famed jeweler Charles Loloma, who encouraged his art.
The Long Hair Kachinas are one of the most popular Kachinas. Their purpose is to bring rain for the crops.
