STERLING SILVER 'SWEET PEA' LINK DANGLE EARRINGS BY MARIA SAMORA (TAOS)
Maria Samora grew up on the Taos Pueblo in New Mexico. She came to jewelry making as a young adult after taking some classes at the University of New Mexico in Taos but it was not until she received a scholarship to study with renowned American Indian jeweler Phil Poirier that she decided to pursue jewelry making as a career. She spent 10 years apprenticing with Poirier while working full time as a waitress to learn and perfect her techniques and develop her unique style, which continues to evolve.
She is well known for her abstract forms and contemporary styling, using 18k and 24k gold and sterling silver.
