Kenneth Aguilar was born in 1951 at Santo Domingo Pueblo in New Mexico. He learned bead making from his mother Ventura Aguilar at the age of 10. He attended the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He works out of his home studio at Santo Domingo Pueblo with his wife Angie.
