Rondina Huma (b. 1947) is a member of the Kachina-Parrot Clan and was born in Keams Canyon, Arizona and raised in the Hopi village of Polacca. She has been actively making pottery since 1973 and, with no formal training, has become one of the most influential artists of Hopi pottery and a master of her medium. Huma is best known for her intricate shard or "Sikyátki" designs (as seen above) and has received many accolades in her career as her work has been featured in many publications and is represented in major galleries and museums throughout the country, including the Heard Museum's permanent collection.
