YELLOW WOODEN FROG CARVING BY NUVADI DAWAHOYA (HOPI)
Nuvadi Dawahoya was born in 1976 and has been actively carving since 1995. He was raised at Second Mesa on the Hopi Reservation in northern Arizona but he says he started carving at the age of 19 after moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico. His name, Nuvadi, means "snow" in the Hopi language. He credits his two sons as the inspiration for his art.
