Revival rug by Laverne Tacheney (Navajo)
Laverne Tacheney was born Laverne Van Winkle in 1963 and has been active weaving since the 1970's. She was born for the Coyote Pass People and to the Mountain Cove People.
Revival style refers to a rug in which the weaver references older patterns, frequently from the mid 1800's. Variations of the blue, white, red and black Chief blankets are a popular Revival design but any older design that is recreated could be called "Revival".
This rug measures 30" x 40"
