14K bolo tie inlaid with lapis, coral, and Red Mountain turquoise by Victor Beck (Navajo)
Victor Beck was born in 1941 and was born to the Manygoats Clan and for the Salt Clan. He has been active silversmithing since 1975 when he took a jewelry class at Arizona State University to fulfill a course requirement while studying ceramics. His work led to an internship with the Museum of Northern Arizona then a scholarship to attend the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz where he learned many of the techniques he continues to use today. Among his many awards, he was named an Arizona Living Treasure in 2003.
measurements: 3" long x 1 1/8" wide and has a figure eight clasp in back. The brown leather bolo cord measures 46" including the gold tips.
