14K/sterling silver bear belt buckle by Jason Takala (Hopi)
Jason Takala has been active making jewelry since the 1970's. He is the nephew of jeweler Bernard Dawahoya, who was also his teacher. His work was exhibited in the 2002 "Jewels of the Southwest" show at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
