I am a member but I cannot see where my discount is being applied.
When you check out you will not see your Heard Museum discount applied. We will apply your discount once we process your order. We are working to find a solution that will allow an automatic deduction at the time you place your order and thank you for your patience in this matter.Do you give discounts/ have sales?
Heard Membership entitles you to a 10% discount on all shop items unless otherwise noted. Become a member today and begin saving today! Additionally the Heard Museum offers members an additional 10% off three times a year; in October, December and April. Check back often for details as these dates approach.Can you tell me more about an artist on your site?

Shipping is calculated for you via the web site. When you get to the shipping screen please indicate your zip code and then click the “re-calculate shipping” button. We ship via UPS for domestic shipping. If you prefer a different shipping method, please let us know in the Notes section on the last page of Checkout.How do you handle/charge shipping to customers outside the US?
We are able to ship internationally. When you place an order with an international shipping address, shipping may reflect domestic rates and will not be applicable to your order. You will receive an e-mail from the Heard Museum Ecommerce manager detailing the actual costs and asking for your approval prior to completing the order.Do I have to set up an account to buy from your online shop?
No. You can use the quick check out feature available on our site when you select the buy button.How can I learn more about your events/ sale days?
Become a member! Members receive advance notice of all of our events via US Mail and e-mail if desired. Additionally, you can check our home page for notifications of upcoming events and our annual sales.Can I purchase a membership at the same time I place my order to receive a discount?
Absolutely! If you purchase a membership with other items (non-sale and non-consignment), you will receive your 10% discount right away. If you purchase a membership along with other items during our member sales, you will receive the 20% discount!I have a friend who is a member of the museum. Can I use their membership for a discount?
Heard Museum membership privileges are non-transferable. Thank you for your understanding.I saw an item on your site a while back but it's not there now. Where did it go?
Most likely it sold either online or in one of our physical stores. Our online merchandise is not separated from our physical stores. If you see something you are interested in it is best to order it right away or if you have questions about the item, please note the item number prior to calling or emailing. If the item does disappear in the meantime, we can at least look it up for you if you provide the item number and let you know if we have any other items like it.Do you have layaway?
We do not offer layaway via the on-line shop, however we do in our physical stores located in Arizona. If you see an item on-line that you would like to put on layaway please note the item number and call 602-252-8344 and select option 1 and ask to speak to a staff member. Any staff member can assist you with your layaway. Items over $200.00 are eligible for layaway. Layaways require 10% down and 10% a month for the next 10 months- minimum. Once the item has been paid we will contact you with the shipping costs and arrange for delivery via UPS. Please call the number above if you have any specific questions concerning layaways.PLEASE NOTE: all layaways will require we keep a valid credit card on file for auto- payment. Thank you.
Can you tell me how much my item is worth?
The Heard Museum is a not for profit organization and it is considered a conflict of interest to appraise art.We do host an annual “appraisal day” event at each of our locations. Please check the Heard Museum website for more details as these event dates change from year to year.
Do you buy American Indian artwork from private individuals?
As you might imagine, we get hundreds of requests of this nature and ask that you send your request and digital images of the piece(s) via e-mail to CONSIGNMENTS@HEARD.ORG. A member of the Heard Museum Shop staff will be in touch with you via e-mail within 4 weeks.If you already have an item on consignment and wish to know its status please send you request via e-mail to CONSIGNMENTS@HEARD.ORG and someone will be in touch with you within 1 week.
How do I purchase a gift certifcate?
We do not currently have an automated system for it, but you can purchase a gift certificate through the online shop by email (just click the "Contact Us" link on the website) or phone (602-346-8190). Please provide your contact information and we will get back to you as soon as possible. You can also purchase a gift certificate in the physical store by calling 602-252-8344.PLEASE NOTE: Gift certificates cannot be used in the online shop. They can only be used at our physical stores. Thank you.
Is everything at your physical stores also online?
Unfortunatley, no. We are always putting new work online but it is not everything we have on display in our physical stores. If you are looking for something in particular feel free to contact us. If we have it, we can take photos for you.Where are you located and what are your hours?
