Rainbow Yarn- Navajo Weavings, Germantown Yarns and the Pennsylvania Connection by Tyrone D. Campbell, Brant Mackley and Andree Mey Miller
This is the companion book to the exhibition "Rainbow Yarn" held at the Lancaster Quilt and Textile Museum in Lancaster, Pennsylvania from March- December 2009 and relates the manufacture of wool yarn in Pennsylvania with it's influence on Navajo weavings of the late 19th century. The book includes short histories on the textile industry in Pennsylvania and on Germantown weavings but is mostly devoted to showcasing the weavings in the exhibition, most of which come from private collections and have never before been seen by the public.
